Y2 have been writing their own setting descriptions based on the story The Tin forest by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. Sporting Superstar 🌟
A special shout out to Lily who has run 100 5k Park runs. What a brilliant sporting achievement and inspiration to others to keep fit and healthy. Well done Lily! Y1 run the daily mile with Y3 and love taking part in keeping fit and healthy. 🏃♂️❤
Ashwood Dreams Big!
In special mention assembly last week, we focused on one of our Ashwood Ways which is ‘Dream big’. We thought about our future careers and aspirations as part of Careers week. We discussed our skills and talents which will help us to achieve our goals. Keep dreaming big Ashwood! 🤩
Ashwood Superstar 🌟
The Ashwood way! Cori has been growing his hair so that he can donate it to a cancer charity for it to be made into a wig for patients undergoing cancer treatment. 💇♀️💜 What an amazing thing to do Cori. We are all very proud of you at Ashwood. #wearerespectul
Fabulous Phonics!
Y2 have been working really hard on their bug club phonics assessment and work for their phonics screening. 🗣 They received a special headteacher certificate from Miss Roper for their great progress in their phonics screening scores. Keep up the good work Y2!

Y1 are Super Scientists!
As part of British Science week Year 1 were chemists. 🧪⚗ They made 3 different types of slime by carefully weighing out each ingredient and following step by step instructions. Y1 then completed 3 different tests: the stretch test, the viscosity test and the splat test.
Easter Crafts in FS2 🐣
It’s the last week of term and to celebrate we held a stay and play in FS2. We invited all the parents to come and complete Easter crafts with their child and simply enjoy some quality time together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and see you again soon! 💚
