The children in Y1 have been working really hard on their place value skills. They have been using a range of apparatus to secure their understanding of numbers, such as place value grids and counters. Keep up the good work Y1! #WeWorkHard
Special Mentions Assembly!
This week in special mentions assembly, we celebrated phonics and reading achievements. At Ashwood we have a high focus on developing phonics and reading skills, and the children have done a fantastic job with this. The Ashwood children who were interested in applying for the role of Eco Warrior had a discussion with Miss Roper. They looked at the Energy Sparks programme that the school uses, to monitor CO2 emissions and the cost of energy used. New Playground Markings!
