Y1 Phonics Session!

Yesterday, Y1 had a great afternoon with their parents/careers at the Phonics Stay and Play session. They completed a variety of different phonics activities, including phonics screening, and Bug Club games. British Sign Language Week

Today, as part of British Sign Language week, Y4 took part in an online Sign Language lesson. The children discussed why sign language is used, and how important it is to the deaf community. Y3 ‘Let Girls Play’ Initiative

On Tuesday 4th March, Y3 girls took part in the #letgirlsplay initiative, and were invited to Wath Academy to develop their football skills. The children worked really hard on developing team work skills, along side children from other schools, and were actively engaged and inspired. World Book Day 2025

On Thursday 6th March, the children at Rawmarsh Ashwood celebrated World Book Day! Some classes also looked at the Author, Philip Pullman. Last term, studied his novel, ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. Everyone enjoyed it so much, and are now reading ‘I Was a Rat’ as a class book for pleasure.
