VE Day Celebrations

On Thursday 8th May, the children at Rawmarsh Ashwood took part in a variety of activities to celebrate VE Day. They came to school in red, white, and blue clothing, and took part in a sing-along to 1940s war time songs. The children also danced the Lambeth Walk on the playground at lunch time.

Some children even visited the residents of Broadacres. While they were there, residents sang and told their own stories and experiences from over the years. It was so lovely having different generations come together on such a special day. Finally, a whole school assembly was held, where everyone learnt all about Victory in Europe Day.

Well done everyone!
