FS2 have loved observing the changing seasons, especially the Spring flowers! Now, as Summer fast approaches, the children are finding more flowers blooming, and plants growing in our outside area.
Their observations link well with the artwork of Georgia O’Keffe. She created beautiful pieces, focusing on the detail of plants close up and filling her canvas. Using her as inspiration, the children have made their own flower artwork. They also used chalks, and explored blending and shading. All the children particularly enjoyed creating their own artwork in their sketchbooks.
