Recently, Rawmarsh Ashwood welcomed Energy Sparks for an exciting afternoon focused on sustainability and saving energy. The day began with a whole-school assembly, where pupils learned how small changes to our daily habits can make a big difference to our planet and carbon footprint.
Year 4 then became eco-detectives, taking part in a hands-on workshop to explore how heat and electricity are used around school and discover practical ways to reduce energy waste. The visit supports our Pledge for Active Citizenship and links to Wickersley Partnership Trust’s sustainability goals, encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their environment and make positive changes.
A big thank you to Energy Sparks, and well done to everyone who got involved!
