Over the last few weeks, FS2 have enjoyed the story of Hansel and Gretel, as a part of their Traditional Tales topic. They are really enjoying this term’s theme, especially when it involves yummy treats!
They started their learning by making their very own gingerbread houses in the construction area. They then wrote wanted posters to catch the wicked witch, created further story maps, and even created their very own maps to guide Hansel and Gretel home. Most importantly the story has promoted lots of discussions regarding ‘stranger danger’.
