Recently, a child in FS2 wrote her very own book all about the beach, which sparked a wave of creativity across the class! Inspired by her, many of our children were eager to make their own books too.
In guided reading, we’ve been learning all about non-fiction texts, so we decided to take on the challenge of creating our own non-fiction books all about Summer. Over the course of a week, each child became both an author and illustrator, carefully crafting their own unique book.
Once completed, they proudly published their books and displayed them in the reading area for everyone to enjoy. It’s been wonderful to see the children so engaged, taking pride in their work and sharing it with others.
