Online Safety in Y4

This week in Y4’s Computing lesson, they focused on the very important topic of online safety. The children learned how to keep themselves safe when using the internet and other digital platforms.

They were introduced to the acronym NASA to help them remember not to share personal information online, including their Name, Age, School, or Address. They also discussed other key safety tips, such as:

  • Never sharing passwords with anyone except trusted adults
  • Telling a trusted adult if something online makes them feel uncomfortable or worried
  • Always being respectful to others online
  • Using kind and positive language when communicating

The children were very engaged in the discussions and showed a strong understanding of how to stay safe online. Families are encouraged to talk about online safety at home and continue reinforcing these important messages.
