Y5/6 Yorkshire Sculpture Park

On Tuesday 10th June, Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed their trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park for an inspiring and creative day out. Blessed with good weather and plenty of curiosity, the children explored the vast outdoor galleries, taking in the incredible sculptures scattered throughout the park’s beautiful landscape.

As they walked through the grounds, students had the chance to study a variety of sculptures by well-known artists. From towering abstract forms to lifelike figures and imaginative pieces made from unexpected materials, the children were full of thoughtful questions and keen observations.

In the afternoon, the excitement continued as the children took part in a hands-on clay workshop. Drawing inspiration from the sculptures they’d seen during the day, they created their own unique clay pieces – everything from miniature versions of their favourite artworks, to original designs bursting with creativity.

It was a fantastic day of art, learning, and imagination!
