Our Year 4 authors have been busy transforming cinematic inspiration into thoughtful and sophisticated narrative writing. Inspired by a visual literacy clip, pupils moved beyond simple description to focus on atmosphere, detail and precision in their prose.
A special shout-out goes to Chester – his piece of writing is a wonderful example of this work in action.
We are incredibly proud of how our young writers are using rich vocabulary to create a vivid experience for the reader, along with the purposeful use of fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases to control pace and build tension.
