Viking Arrival ⚔

During History this week, we looked at the arrival of the Vikings at Lindesfarne. We discussed how the monasteries were attacked and what items have been discovered on archaeological digs that provides us with factual evidence. We then recreated the arrival of the Vikings to Lindesfarne.

RSPB Big Bird Watch

In assembly the children have been learning about RSPB the big bird watch. At home the children have been looking for different bird species and creating fact files about these. 🦅🦉🔍

Year 4 Explore Circuits

In Science today we have looked at circuits. What makes a complete circuit and what equipment we need to make sure it works. We discussed current in electricity and began to look at renewable energy sources.

FS2 Maths Learning

Last week was a lovely first week back for FS2, just look at our fantastic Maths learning! We linked our Maths activity to Jack and the Beanstalk. We measured the beanstalks using cubes focusing on counting carefully to find out how long our beanstalks were. We then practiced one more and one less.

With Me in Mind Visit UKS2

This morning, Upper KS2 had a visit from the With Me in Mind team talking about all things sleep related! We learnt many new facts including how much sleep we should have and how we should prepare our brains for bed. 💤🧠

Super Science in Year 6!
