F1 British Science Week Learning

As part of British Science Week our F1 children became Botanists. We looked at the conditions that plants need to grow properly and had a go at naming some parts of a plant. The children also completed some beautiful observational paintings of different flowers and we planted our own seeds!

F1 Celebrated World Book Day!

At Ashwood we love to read and we are trying so hard with our phonics learning so F1 jumped at the chance to dress up for World Book Day. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories with each other. We are so proud of our amazing Ashwood readers!

Story Learning 📚

This week the children read a fantastic story called ‘The Colour Monster’. The children learned to name different emotions and had a go at showing their emotions in a painting. We used a large mirror to see our facial features and we expressed what we saw using paint! What incredible artists at just age 3!

Exploring a Telehandler!

Our F1 had a fantastic time exploring a telehandler at Ashwood Primary School and they used great mathematical vocabulary to describe the size of the different parts of the vehicle. They were also allowed to have a go at sitting in the cab and using the horn! What a fantastic experience. 👏
