This year our young musicians have been working extremely hard on their musical skills and talents. They showcased their talents and put themselves forward for the Young Musician Competition along with other children across our primary and secondary schools. Their showcase was then judged against other entries by the WPT music department.
We are delighted that 8 of our talented children at Ashwood were through to the WPT grand final. They showcased their musical ability of clarinet and piano in the Primary category. We are immensely proud of Anna who has now started at RCS, Eben (Y6) Alfie (Y5) Flynn, Doris and Ronica (Y4) and Edward and Jia Fu (Y3)
They were so confident as they performed live on the stage at Wickersley School and sports college in front of an audience.
These children have all achieved their gold pledge for “Achieving external recognition in an event”. We are all so proud of them!
