Y6 Art Class

Y6 have been looking at the artist Picasso, in Art, this half term. Yesterday, we shared our learning journey with our Art Lead – Miss Webb. We spoke confidently about who Picasso was, Cubism and how much fun we had when creating our individual prints!

Santa Dash

As we strive at Ashwood to keep fit and healthy, the children completed a Santa dash obstacle course. The children and adults all took part. Some children ran, skipped or even did the conga on the course! Miss Roper loved doing the conga!

A Festive and Magical Evening

To celebrate the start of the festive season in school, pupils were invited back into school for a magical evening of stories, hot chocolate and biscuits. It was a wonderful evening and celebrated our love of books!

Last week, pupils from Y1 and Y6 joined up to discuss their learning in Geography. Mrs Smith & Miss Webb were really impressed with how responsible all pupils were and how articulate they were in talking about what they have learnt so far and what they will be learning next.
