Learning Nursery Rhymes with FS1

This week we have been learning about the nursery Rhyme Baa Baa Black Sheep. We learned how to sing the song using Makaton to support our understanding.

We persevered to learn the Makaton signs for each part of the song. We also used our fine motor skills to add fine lines to sheep templates. This represented the wool on the sheep. We had to think about the shapes that we wanted to make and the space on the page.

We also used printing techniques to create our own sheep art. Some children also decided to draw the characters from the story.
