Our children have been really enjoying the different playground zones at lunch times. They use the zones to play with their friends and show respect to others. At Ashwood we always show the Ashwood way.
At lunch times we develop our creativity and other skills further – we build dens, play chess and board games, play football in the MUGA, read with our friends and join in with dances using music from all over the world.
At Ashwood, if we are struggling with something we are resilient and don’t give up. We have buddy classes where we develop our social skills and oracy skills with other year groups. Our buddies help us in the yard at lunch times as well to help us to join in new games and experiences.
Children have been working hard on designing new yard markings to make our playground even better. They worked with the playground leaders and Sophie from Thermmark playground markings to create the design.
