This term, we have been learning all about Henri Matisse who created a beautiful piece of art called The Snail. This artwork was created by ‘painting with scissors,’ this inspired our own pieces of art.
We used a variety of colours and shapes, sometimes combing shapes to make a picture we know, sometimes using patterns, but most often we selected colours and cut out shapes according to how we felt.
We thoroughly enjoyed this as every piece of art looked so different, and led to our classroom being the most colourful and vibrant it has ever been. Well done everyone!
